Debra Lykkemark, founder and CEO of Culinary Capers Catering and Special Events was honoured as Caterer of the Year, by the ILEA Vancouver chapter at the Awards Gala on Thursday, May 25th.
Meetings and events industry professionals were recognised by their peers for outstanding contributions to their profession and community. ILEA is the principal association representing the creative events professional globally with a membership of more than 5,000. The ILEA Vancouver Chapter was founded in 1993.

Debra Lykkemark oversees a high energy team at Culinary Capers who share her passion for fine food and exceptional service. The company’s 30th year of business featured many high profile and large scale events. Luxury brand launches were at the forefront, and included signature events for Grey Goose, London Air Services, Chanel, Louis X!!! Cognac, and an international Young Presidents Organization group.
In 2016, Culinary Capers catered 800 staffed events and 69,000 corporate delivery orders. Highlights of the year include catering a luncheon for Young Inspired Canadians with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in attendance. A spectacular YPO event for 500 guests was staged at the historic Christ Church Cathedral.
